Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial of the plan you choose, with its full allowances. You add a payment card when you start, and £0 is due that day.

When your trial ends. That day, the plan you chose begins at its monthly or yearly price, plus VAT where applicable. We email you about 3 days before the trial ends, and if you cancel from Settings → Billing before then, you won't be charged. After that, your plan renews automatically each month or each year. Yearly plans also get a reminder email before they renew.

Yes, from Settings → Billing. Moving to a bigger plan takes effect straight away, and you pay the difference for the rest of your current billing period. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, and if you're using more than it allows, SmileSort tells you before you switch. You can move from monthly to yearly billing straight away; a move from yearly to monthly starts when your year ends.

You can cancel from Settings → Billing, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, your account is read-only for 30 days: you can sign in and export everything, but not upload or share. We email you during those 30 days. At the end of them, your photographs and patient records are permanently deleted.

Nothing you've already stored is affected. At your storage limit, new uploads pause until you make space or move to a bigger plan. When you've used your secure shares, links you've already sent keep working, and you can create new ones when your monthly allowance resets, on yearly billing too. A single upload batch can include up to 20, 100 or 200 photos, depending on your plan.

Clinical data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and share links expire and can be revoked. The SmileSort Trust Centre sets out how SmileSort protects clinical photography in full.

The photographs you keep in SmileSort, at the size they're stored. That includes photos waiting for your review after an upload, and photos in Trash, which stay there for 28 days before they're permanently removed. Patient details and notes don't count.
